Can you believe he got out of it??? Luckily he just casually walked into the gargage and waited for one of us to get him. Just a few days ago we tried to put the vest back on him and he groweled and hissed. So we brought him out and he stuck with the dogs in the fenced in yard. Don't worry we were constantly by his side.

Loki Meets His Baby Cousin For The First Time

I was so proud of the both of them. Callie was very gentle with Loki as was he with her.

Loki was very curious of Callie's feeding machine, but luckily it never scared him off. He stuck by her side the whole time she was visiting. He let her play with him and pet him (well I should say grab his skin)but it never even bothered him. I think they both enjoyed meeting each other!

Time To Brush Our Teeth!!

Today I introduced Loki to his new toothbrush! Yes that's right, I'll be brushing my cat's teeth...at first every time he sniffed the toothpaste he made a funny face (Anytime he smells something he doesn't like he opens his mouth and makes the face in the photo below...it always makes me laugh because he looks so goofy when he does it.), but then when he finally decided to taste it, I think he enjoyed it!

One of Loki's Favorite Toys!

I don't even bother buying Loki Toys anymore because he doesn't play with them. The straw is just one of his favorite homemade toys he discovered on his own. He enjoys hours and hours of fun batting them around, carrying them around the house in his mouth and ofcourse hiding them. Craig found 4 straws in the couch cushions the other night! Such a silly kitty...

Since the weather was getting nicer we decided to get Loki a leash. It's more of a vest type thing but at least we know we won't lose him in it. He wasn't too enthused about it but he did well for having it on for the first time!






See how bad we felt about putting him through the trauma of wearing the leash. Catnip bubbles for being a good boy! (Thanks cat Dad Craig!)

He Really Knows When Moms Not Feeling Right

Sorry to everyone who views my posts on a regular basis as I have not posted for a few days. I had a minor procedure done and unfortunately it has left me feeling tired and in pain. But that's where my Loki comes in again. The night of the procedure was the worst night of pain and so I had to sleep in the spare bedroom by myself as I didn't want to disturb my partners sleep. Loki stuck with me the whole night and even slept in with me until I was ready to get out of bed (early afternoon). No bugging for food or anything. Sorry if I repeat myself, but that little guy knows when somethings wrong and I swear he knew I wasn't feeling well enough to get up early to feed him. More posts to come as I start feeling better. I promise!

I Missed My Boy Last Night...so Kisses, Kisses, Kisses!

He's just so darn kissable...and since I was away last night and missed him soooo much, I had to give him more kisses then usual! He enjoys kisses whether he's hyper or calm. That's another reason I love him so much!

Todays topic is going to be Loki and Food! The two go hand in hand....From recent posts you can see Loki has some good days and some bad days. If I didn't control the little bugger, he'd be having bad days everyday. If you know the Sphynx, you know they love to eat! Loki on the other hand loves to eat but eating doesn't agree with him all the time. But good knews (we're crossing our fingers), we think we've found a high protein diet that is actually agreeing with him. I'll post updates in a few weeks on that topic. Anyhow, enjoy the photo's and video's in regards to this post! ( I snuck one more video in this blog just to show I played with him to make him feel better and get his mind off the steak!)

Pretty soon Baby...we'll be able to go out. You just hold those meows back and enjoy the scenery! I know he'll love it once we go out...just have to find a good comfortable harness for him and wait until the weather warms up!

My Baby's Love

I was not feeling well again and stayed home from work. Guess who was by my side the whole time. What would I do without my baby? He did nothing but bring me comfort. When dad got home, that was another story. He was all over Craig!

Bed Time With Loki

He's great at bedtime in my eyes, usually cuddled right up in my arms and happy to sleep through the night. He has his good nights and his bad nights where he can be restless. I feel sorry for the little guy because when he has a bad night, it makes me feel like crap because I'm responsible for him and he's disturbing my partner's sleep. I know Craig still loves him, but I wish Loki could be more perfect in his eyes. If only Loki could understand he's pissing his Dad off...my life with my Sphynx would be "perfect"!!

Loki's Love

Loki's a very affectionate kitty and loves to cuddle. I added the video to show how he just seems to sense when you need some loving. I had just walked in the door after work and he jumped up on my shoulder and instantly started telling me to relax! I just happened to have the camera close by, so if I look like I'm acting strange it's because I'm video taping myself and it was a little hard to do. Anyhow, hope you enjoy the little video below! (I noticed the video stops half way through, just hit play again and it will work...not sure why it happens)

My Baby Had A Rough Morning Today!

Poor baby, having problems with his bowels again. He had a pretty rough morning, not to mention I didn't get any sleep at all because of it. Just feel sorry for the little guy. Some days he's perfect, then the odd day his system acts up again. The good thing about it was that he had a nice scrub in the tub and feels nice and clean again! I'm quite lucky I can say he's a real trooper when it comes to bath time!

Sir Purrs' A Lot...AKA "Loki"

The ‘mischief maker’ of the Germanic gods. Fickle and false, clever and cunning, the trickster god Loki was ‘the father of lies’. Perhaps my Loki may have some traits of the true ancient god, but they are meant to entertain and provide pleasure to me, as he, being a "Cat", I cannot deny that is what makes his character so comical and harmless. Not only does he bring me laughter and love but he brings me hope and comfort.

I've started my blog on my Sphynx cat, because I feel in my heart he was a gift to me. He's there for me during rough periods of my life and he seems to know when I am not myself. His snug warm cuddles, when I have a tear in my eye, have proven to me that this breed has an instinct other breeds have never been able to express. And that is why I have to share our journey with whom ever is curious or interested in this rare, therapeutic and amazing breed of cat!

I'll be posting photo's and updates on how we're doing and will answer any questions that I can for you! I think this is going to be fun and a great learning experience for both myself and others.
